    I actually hope Danica’s not in it. When women get naked (for public consumption), there’s a line that’s crossed. What you think of the line is another matter, but there’s definitely crossage there. I’m not sure Danica crossing that line would be good for Brand Danica. But, that’s her call, not mine. Free country. Why do mags like SI say “In every case, the photos are appropriate and tasteful” (as in your linked article)? Like that means the men and women in the magazine are “appropriately naked” as opposed to “buck naked.” Appropriateness is in the eye of the lust-filled beholder, chief. Pretty sure Hustler would call its photos “a celebration of human sexuality” and its readers would say “that seems appropriate” as well.

    How many famous gals have I seen posing naked and pregnant on the cover of some magazine. It’s the latest fad. Not one of those pictures turned me on in the slightest. The nudity has little, if anything at all, to do with the sexual content. Some of the pictures Danica has done in bikini for SI are far more suggestive than anything she could get away with naked. You’d be looking at her coochie in that booty shot that keeps making the rounds. To a man, that view means one thing. It’s a highly sexual pose.

    I’d bet cash money that if she does do the nude thing it’ll be tamer than anything else she’s done.

    Well, on second thought…

    RE sexual content & nudity: obviously any photo that’s raunchy and sexual in a bikini, or other garb, is going to be even raunchier and more sexual without the clothes. So, I sorta over-stated my case on that point.

    The main point I’m making is that some of Danica’s photos from SI, and others from a men’s magazine from way back, would be Bob Guccione-style stuff if not for the clothes. If these various athletes are going to go buff for an SI photo shoot, all of those suggestive, sexy poses go right out the window.

    It’s going to be very tame stuff, because it has to be. This is SI, not Penthouse.
