Blah blah blah witty, insightful comments blah blah blah somewhat like the overthrowing of misguided, communist nations blah blah blah Tony Kanaan will win today & then feast on the flesh of Shawnee-area coyotes. Yeah yeah, another Open Mic. Got it. We know the drill.
But before turning you loose, just know that a smarter man than me once said, “Girls a fakin’, goodness sakin’ … they want a man who brings home the bacon.” That man, quite obviously, was Young M.C. His words are always germane to any given situation. He’s a poet and a scholar and damn you if you think otherwise.
Last thing: keep your fancy tornados out of our race, God. We haven’t the time for Your destructive tomfoolery today.
It’s your show now. I’m out.

Look at the Qualifying order, Champ Car teams in the Top 10.

I forgot — let’s do this for Bea Arthur, who passed yesterday. She was 168 years old. And she will be missed.

It’s so windy here, kids, that if you step outside without rocks in your pocket you’ll go flipping down the track like a freshly beheaded chicken. So far the FIRST BIG MASS of bad weather is supposed to miss us, and the SECOND BIG MASS of bad weather will maybe hit post-race. Then, again, there’s a growing pile of empty 24-oz. beer cans in back of the media center too.

Is Lindy in there with you? Could you be so kind as to direct her toward the Open Mic area? I’ll wait.

Pressdog, look under Jack Arute’s desk in the trailer, you’ll probably find Lindy there. Sorry Hobbson, but she’s spoken for.

I’m spoken for too, PDaddy. That doesn’t mean I can’t smell like the inside of a 1989 Camaro upon her arrival. Jesus.
Anyone want to bet against Kanaan today? I’m taking all wagers.

I think I’ve memorized all 5 of the commercials that Vs. cycles through during the side-by-side… the girlfriend hates when I mute the TV to recite them without help
By Carrie, April 27, 2009 @ 2:06 pm
I nearly lost a toe running for the TV to see RHR’s IZOD commercial on the big screen before St. Pete. I shouldn’t have wasted the energy because, gawd, I’m sick of it alreadyy!

Back from Kansas. Can’t believe it didn’t rain on us. Glad to see that VERSUS, particularly Arute, did not disappoint with the Wizard of Oz references. It just NEVER GETS OLD! Good race. Not as much 3-wide insanity due to the wind. Don’t bet against TCG on the big ovals, kids. I personally think VERSUS should mix in an add or 12 for the Pagoda, all staring Roy, to bust up the rotation.
